Maria Claudia Marin
Pacchioni, has been appointed the New Project Director for the LEON Foundation, with
representation in Peru.
Maria Claudia study
Communications at the Universidad Católica de Lima-Peru. She has an extensive
background in serving to the Peruvian
community. She is volunteering in the AENU Program that focus on the
discussions and negotiation of the current global and national issues. She will
lead in Peru expanding efforts to communicate the LEON foundation’s strengths
and mission and to lead the Art Contest for Mariscal Ramón Castilla School
called: “My Community in the Year 2020” where 750 students are participating
since April 15, 2014.
Maria Claudia is
without question the right person to lead this critical effort in the year 2014
and LEON Foundation is glad and thankful that she is join our organization. In
her role as Project Director, Maria Claudia Marin will oversee the Office of
School Projects in Peru, which includes the planning, quality control, and
status reporting on “My Community in the Year 2020” Project. She manages the
project team, which consists of students of 3rd, 4th and 5th grade of secondary
and teacher that are supporting this project.
She is responsible for preparing the project schedule, and updating that schedule as it evolves; proposing the project budget for exhibition, and looking for resources necessary to get the project done on time and on budget; identifying and minimizing potential risks to the project timeline and budget; making sure that teachers project team understand what their responsibilities are; communicating the Project progression to the Leon Foundation headquarters in USA; and ensuring the quality of the team's work and any supplies or materials used by the team.
