Happy Birthday Raul A. Leon Zarate!

Happy Birthday Raul A. Leon
My father, Raul A. Leon Zarate, would be celebrating his 80th Birthday today , July 27. I remember him for being 100% class and a true friend. He was highly involved with the community and he served them with his Bilingual Newspaper "La Voz Latina" in San Jose, CA. He cared for people in need and supported children education in Peru. Leon Foundation was established to honor his memory and to follow his example supporting children education in Peru through technology. Here are some of the top classy moments from my beloved father Raul Leon: 1) he proudly worked for the American Consulate in Peru at age 21. 2) he was the proudest father at an early age. 3) he loved children. 4) he was the coolest grandfather. 5) he reminded us, family is the most important in life. 6) i wish I could play golf like him. 7) he loved to travel.
Thank you Dearest Dad for you have been a leader, a role model in society and an inspiration to me and others. I thank you for your unconditional love and service to those in need. I wish you a Happy 80th Birthday in Heaven!

Leon Foundation Mission Accomplished at Mariscal Ramon Castilla School

Leon Foundation is exceptionally proud of their work helping Peruvian children to improve their education through technology.
On December 04, 2014, the President and Founder of Leon Foundation, Dr. Joyce Leon-Gomez traveled to Peru to established the fifth Computer Lab at Mariscal Ramon Castilla School in Lima where she donated 10 top of the line computers, software, antivirus, Microsoft office and all the necessary tools for the 1,500 students that are attending that institution.
One more time in a very emotional ceremony Dr. Leon gave thanks to her family, friends around the world, supporters, business in USA and generous donors for believing in the Leon Foundation mission and for making this donation possible. “This is the result of hard work, effort and generosity of many people in USA, hopefully the students we help today will learn the skills they need to return to their communities and support them directly in the future,” she remarked.
Dr. Leon was accompanied during the ceremony by her Peruvian friends, Col. PNP Dr. Segundo Gavidia, Father of La Cena del Senor Church of Santa Anita, Father Julian Quinones, the Owner of Turismo del Norte, Sr. Rodolfo Uriarte, Dra. Ursula Mera, Dr. Bruno Licetti, Dra. Jenny Palomino, Sra. Lucia Contreras, and the professors from Juan Pablo II School, Licenciado Edwin Miller and Magister Eduardo Hinostroza, for what she is profoundly thankful to all of them for their valuable support during the donation ceremony at Mariscal Ramon Castilla School. Mission Accomplished!

Leon Foundation visited Tungasuca, Surimana y Ccochapata Cusco-Peru

President and Founder of LEON Foundation, Dr. Joyce Leon is definitely a woman who believes in helping to change the world for better. She has visited the communities of Tungasuca, Surimana and Ccochapata at an elevation of over 12,438 ft in Cusco-Peru and the initiatives she will undertake for the development of the underprivileged children will have brilliant results for them and the people in these communities.
This past week, Dr. Joyce Leon spent time in Tungasuca, Surimana and Ccochapata, Cusco-Peru with many students and teachers from these communities to understand their day-to-day problems related to education and to acquire a more in depth knowledge on the challenges and needs they are facing for their education.
Dr. Joyce Leon was invited by the Mayor of Tungasuca, Antonio Araoz Enriquez, to visit his village and after being there and to see personally their needs, she has taken up the noble job that is not easy to perform, which is to support them with technology for the development of their education.

LEON FOUNDATION
