Leon Foundation Interview at Radio Santisimo Sacramento

www.leonfoundation.org

The Founder and President of Leon Foundation Dr. Joyce Leon -Gomez and the Public Relations Director, Mason Leandro are very grateful to radio Santisimo Sacramento on 1240  AM  for the opportunity they had this morning to present the Leon Foundation to the community of Sacramento and vicinity during the hour of "Cafe, Pan y Fe" directed by Brother Andres Emmanuelli and Lorena Albarran. Dr. Leon presented an overview of her journey since the Foundation was established on October 09, 2009 explaining their mission, goals and work they have been doing in favor of the less fortunate children of Peru until today. She emphasized that the Foundation has already impacted two communities in Peru, reaching an estimated 1500 students and giving away computers and equipment to set up a computer lab.  The Leon Foundation is a true grassroots organization: the Board of Directors, volunteers and sponsors are spreading the word on behalf of the Foundation. Dr. Leon gave credit to all her  team who make it successful and also with the San Jose and Sacramento community participation. It’s an inspiring nonprofit start-up story said Lorena Albarran when she knew that Leon Foundation donates 100% of what they receive. All the Leon Foundation members work Ad Honorem.

Also on the show Mason Leandro, did a brilliant presentation in Spanish which is commendable because his first language is English. He explained  "that the impact that Leon Foundation has on the children of less developed countries is absolutely incredible and how a small amount of donation can make all the difference in not only the lives of the children living in these communities but also the entire society as a whole." He urged people to visit the Leon Foundation website, Facebook, Twitter, Blog and Causes to do further research on their own about Leon Foundation's work.

Leon Foundation is Improving Peruvian Children's Education

Leon Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization structured in the great Golden State of California. The Leon Foundation is a group of intellectual and business people that have passion for knowledge and education. They are dedicated to support education of less fortunate children in Peru through technology. They focus their educational support in places where they can make unique and positive contributions.

They started their work on October 6, 2009 and during the year 2010 they supported La Cena del Senor Catholic Church in the community of Santa Anita-Peru donating on December 24, 2010 new computers and necessary tools to set up a computer lab for more than 300 children to improve their education through technology.
One of the most defining moments of the past year occurred on November 16, 2011, when in a special Ceremony Leon Foundation donated 10 computers, necessary software and tools to Juan Pablo II School in Moron-Peru to established a computer lab that will help 520 students to improve their skills, knowledge and to be inter-connected with the world. Now these children are benefited from it. And while they are proud of what they have accomplished with the support of family, friends, individuals from around the world and local businesses, they have not yet met their ultimate goal: Improve children education in Peru through technology. We need your support! Please visit us at causes: Improving Peruvian Children's Education
